Questions

What schools usually ask.

Does this replace our counselors or advisors?

No. It's prep work. Students arrive with a direction and real questions, so the conversation starts further along.

What student data do you collect?

There are no accounts or passwords. Quiz answers stay on the student's own device. We never sell data, and we only see aggregate counts such as how many students finished the assessment. Students under 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission. The details are in our privacy policy.

How long does setup take?

A 20-minute call and a link. There's no software to install and no accounts to create.

What does it cost after the pilot?

We agree on simple pricing together, based on how many students you serve. The free assessment stays free for every student.

Is this only for college-bound students?

No. Maps include university, community college and transfer routes, trades, apprenticeships, military and public service, and going straight to work.

About us

We built the map we wish we had.

We’re Bailey and Caden Stringer. We’re brothers, we grew up in Roseville, and we both went through Roseville High School.

After that, our paths split. We had very different experiences with college, work, sports, travel, and living abroad. Along the way we kept running into paths, jobs, and opportunities we never knew existed, and we couldn’t help wondering what we would have done differently if we had known about them sooner.

Good guidance shouldn’t depend on who you know.

Part of the idea came from realizing how hard it is for students to get personalized guidance. Access to good opportunities often depends on knowing the right person, having parents who can guide you, or already knowing what to search for. A lot of people don’t have that, and it shows in the choices they end up making.

You don’t know what you don’t know.
That’s the whole problem. It’s hard to choose a path you’ve never heard of.

We won’t choose your future for you.

MyMajorMap isn’t meant to tell anyone what to do with their life. It’s meant to show you possibilities, give you real information, and help you decide for yourself.

Affordable and accessible, on purpose.

If this is going to help the people who don’t already have someone to guide them, it can’t be out of reach. That’s why the test is free, and the deeper Full Map is a small one-time price instead of a subscription. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it.
